Sales taxes are bad
Just wanted to record this for posterity, since I hadn't realized it until a friend brought it up: Sales taxes are really bad. They disincentivize people from buying the things that they need and they are regressive, i.e. they tax people equally regardless of wealth or income. Anyways when given the choice, opt for land, income, or wealth taxes in your daily voting habits.
